Tahini Choc Crunch Bars
Fall in love with Tahini over and over again with these delicious naughty but nice Tahini Choc Crunch Bars.
Hint: You can use Tahini like you would any nut butter in your recipes.
Did you know Tahini is nut free as it’s made from sesame seeds?
And Tahini is also packed full of calcium and magnesium?
Pair it with chocolate and the crunchy base and it’s a marriage made in heaven.
Ingredients:

1/2C tahini
-
1/2C honey
-
1/4C cacao powder
-
1/3C melted coconut oil
-
2C corn flakes
-
11/2C choc chips or cooking chocolate – melted
-
pink salt for topping
-
crushed walnuts for topping or to keep it nut free, use chopped pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
Method:
Line a 9×9 baking dish with baking paper.
In a mixing bowl add the tahini, honey, coconut oil, cacao powder. Mix until well combined.
Stir in corn flakes and add to the baking dish and press down firmly. Set in freezer for 10 minutes while you melt the chocolate chips over a double boiler.
Bring base out of freezer and pour melted chocolate over the top.
Sprinkle with pink salt and chopped walnuts.
Set up in freezer for minimum 10 minutes – best if you can wait 3 hours.
Slice up, eat!
Keep in freezer for whenever the craving for a salty, choc, crunchy hit strikes!
